Photo gallery for Art Interventions

This gallery contains the 90 photographs from the CPPA-B with which 13 artists have been working in the framework of the project "Reinterpreting Historical Photographs; Cameroon Press Photo Archives – Buea".

APhI selected these photographs from the large collection of press photographs held by the CPPA-B and ordered them into tree groups, each under a different thematic heading. The results of the art interventions were presented in Limbe, Buea and Douala in January 2015 on the occasion of the conference "Validating Visual Heritage in Africa: Historical Photographs and the Role of the 'Archive'" in Buea which concluded the two-year conservation and digitization project in the Buea Press Photo Archives.
